Cyberpunk 2077

Role – UI Designer

Overview
UI design sits at the nexus of code, art, and design. On Cyberpunk I was responsible for ensuring clarity, consistency, and comprehension for the UI. This ranged from creating wireframes and prototypes to full implementation. My days often included running stand-ups, coordinating with other disciplines, triaging tasks, and building our UI framework.

Supported Features & Experience

  • Building Wireframes & UX Flows
  • Character Creation
  • UI Global Stylesheet management
  • Healthbar Implementation
  • Weapon HUD & Reticle Support
  • Menu/Window Architecture
  • Experience with Static Data
  • Inventory Systems
  • Long-Term Progression System Design & Support
  • Dynamic Layouts
  • Customized Lists/Buttons/Toggles/Sliders
  • In-game video calls
  • Modular UI for in-game technology/screens

Cyberpunk was a massive project with a UI team of comprised of nearly 20 people. Below are some of the folks I most closely collaborated with.

Additional Credit:

My time at CD Projekt Red was short, only 10 ten months. During that time, I built a large amount of UI architecture & components, pieces of which are represented in the final game. However, the elements I worked on underwent a large amount of iteration and represent an in-production version of the game and cannot be shown publically.
